Terms and Conditions
Limer Driving Academy (LTD)
- 3 hours for £40.00: First three hours must be taken within 7 days. Both sessions will be taken in 90-minute lessons.
- Single lessons: These are 1-hour lessons and are paid in advance.
- 8-hour block: These hours are to be taken in 2-hour blocks and completed within one calendar month.
- 6-hour block: These hours are to be taken in 90-minute lessons and taken within one calendar month.
- Intense courses: Must be booked through head office on 07988953930. Customers must have passed their theory test and must have booked their practical test.
- You will need to pay for the block on the last lesson of your current block i.e. lesson number 4. If you are paying cash, then please pay the instructor on this lesson. If you choose to pay by bank transfer, then this payment will be needed to be transferred two days before your last lesson. This gives the banks time to do the transfer before your lesson day. If payment isn't paid as above, then unfortunately we won't be able to hold your weekly slot, meaning we will offer your time slot to new customers. Please don't ask the instructor to change this as he/she must follow these terms and conditions, and this could put them in an awkward situation. If you are struggling for any reason, please call the office asking for Shane. If you are paying as you go /weekly lessons, then again payment in cash/bank transfer is required as you book in.
- Price increases: Due to the rising cost of fuel we may occasionally be forced to increase our prices Whilst we do try to absorb as much of the cost as possible, we do have to monitor the situation. In the event of a price increase you will be advised before the end of your on-going block booking lessons.
- Limer Driving Academy operates a non-refund policy.
Lessons:
- Driving licence: It is your responsibility to make sure your driving licence is current and up to date to use for driving lessons under UK law.
- Pick up and drop off points: a ‘usual’ pick up and drop point should be agreed with your instructor. Any alteration needs to be agreed 7 days in advance and is agreed at the discretion of the instructor.
- Our Instructors will message you upon arrival and will wait for TEN MINUTES if you haven't responded within this time our instructor will leave and you will be charged for the lesson.
- Cancellations: Where lessons are cancelled with 48 hours’ notice there is no fee. You must however take the cancelled lesson within your block time, and it is subject to the instructor’s availability. Otherwise, the full fee for the lesson is payable. Cancellations are only accepted by a phone conversation with your instructor. Where text messages, emails, Facebook or other forms of communication are used to cancel lessons the full fee remains payable.
- Responsibility: Limer Driving Academy cannot be held responsible for postponements of lessons due to illness or mechanical breakdown, nor for driving tests postponed by the Driving Standards Agency.
- Contact: Instructors are not available between 7pm and 9am.
Driving Tests:
- Use of cars for test: Limer Driving Academy reserves the right to withhold use of cars for test without notice should the pupil not meet the required DVSA standard.
- On the day of your driving test: If you wish to use your instructor’s car for your driving test there is a fee of £85. This includes two hours of the instructor’s time. This is a separate payment from any block booking payment.
- Our instructors work set days, so before booking a test please make sure our instructor works that day. If you book a test without checking, you may be charged an additional fee of £30.00 for them to work their day off.
- Complaints: All complaints must be taken up with your Driving Instructor.
- Change of instructor: Although all our instructors are courteous, professional and of a high standard, we understand that not everyone will “get on”. If you feel this to be the case at any point, please contact Limer Driving Academy on 07988953930. We will try and place you with an alternative instructor.
- Limer Driving Academy are not responsible for the conduct or safety of Limer Driving Academy instructors.
- Use of Photographs: By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you acknowledge and accept that photographs or videos may be used for promotional purposes on social media or marketing materials, provided you have given prior consent.
- Acceptance of terms and conditions: By taking lessons with Limer Driving Academy, you agree to all the terms and conditions laid out within this document.
